Great for new hires

Feedcycle sends dialy content sequentially. i.e item 1 the 1st day, item 2 the 2nd, etc. etc. No matter when subscriber begins. They all get the same stuff in the same order. VERY COOL.

What other ideas do you have for this type of service?

Recovering Off-screen Windows

At work I have a laptop with a 2nd monitor. Working from home today I tried to open a PowerPoint file but the Open dialog box was opening “off screen”. This little shortcut saved me.ALT+SHIFT+SPACE: Displays the main window’s System menu (from the System menu, you can restore, move, resize, minimize, maximize, or close the window)

Windows Live Writer

I’ve read good things about Windows Live Writer so I thought I’d give it a trial run. I like the concept of a better WYSIWYG editor with less “weirdness” than the default WordPress editor. Plus it looks like it will be easier to insert media via an editor like this.

Let’s see how it goes…stay tuned.

Getting knowledge from tacit to explicit

I think Tony has nailed this one right on the button.  I very much agree that a large part of maximizing learning is to get tacit knowledge to become explicit knowledge. As he points out another advantage to capturing that tacit knowledge is the opportunity for discovering the potential for corrections/improvements.
